Her Majesty

She has arrived!
A bouncing baby Girl!
Long awaited
Her name, long conceived

She has arrived!
My mother-in-law
Affectionately, I called her KK
While the world will call her ‘’Her Majesty’’.

My Elder Sister and my Mother-in-law:
all combined to give her the majesty of her life
Sia and Sahr’s Sister; Martha’s mother
Oh! She is also Sahr and Fayia’s mother
and I am their grandfather.

They will call her grandma, then others will call her ndeeh,
In her brazing royalty, they shall call her:
Her Majesty Ma Margret Kpana Kumba Korfah Nouwah
The woman born on her soil to her people.

She has arrived! I say
Mother to Martha, Fayia and Sahr
Daughter to Martha and Sahr
Sister to Sia, Sahr and Sahr.

KK, you are welcome,
Daddy’s smile
Lovingly arrived
Even when Covid-19 so keep us apart.

I ask you all to call her Korfahnor
She is the Princess of Farmadou and Baildou
The true great granddaughter of Torgboor Farmadou
The great granddaughter of the Hunter,
Her voice echoed and known for melodious sounds;
her dances are exotic and charming.

KK, you are welcome
I called on my God to dwell in you
To give you wisdom to serve him
Be a virtues woman
Seek higher heights
Rule kingdoms with values and ethics.

The mbira has gone far in a conceived melody
in our hearts and loins
Drumming in lyrical inner feelings mingled in projected dances
we joyously mingled in singing to welcome you home as the balafon enrages
Trumpets brown in imaginative memories of your ancestors
to receive you in Majesty and in love shoulder high.
Praises abound, blessing dwells
You are welcome.
